Hello everyone,
Well we are well underway in our team training for this year's Cops for Cancer Tour de Valley ride. This is something I have always wanted to participate in because it is such a great cause.
The Cops for Cancer Tour raises money for the Canadian Cancer Society, and traditionally the funds have gone towards the prevention and research of childhood cancers as well as Camp Goodtimes.
While my fundraising goal is $5,000, please help me raise as much money as possible to put towards this extremely worthwhile cause.

Welcome to my Cops for Cancer blog! Here I will post my experiences, fundraising events, and memorable moments of my time on this year's Cops for Cancer tour.

Help me reach my goal!
It will be quite an undertaking, 6 months of training in order to take part in the Tour where we will ride from Boston Bar to Tsawassen and back over 9 days. But the ride is the easy part as our goal is to raise money for pediatric cancer research and support for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Cancer touched us all, as I am sure most of you know someone who has fought it or even worse have lost a loved one to this terrible disease. I have lost an uncle and a close family friend to cancer, and my grandmother was a breast cancer survivor. So let's join together to make a difference!
Every year 1,000 parents are told that their children have cancer, which of course has such a profound impact on the entire family. The money raised not only goes towards research but also to support those families that have been affected by pediatric cancer such as Camp Goodtimes. My personal fundraising goal is a sizeable $5,000 but I have taken the approach that this is a minimum standard. Please help me surpass my goal as this is such a worthwhile cause.
